WHAT TO DO & WHERE TO GO Lincolnshire has some very flat areas but also some gentle rolling hills in the Lincolnshire Wolds. Lincoln has a beautiful cathedral and castle. The first German Market took place in this city. Boston is close to The Fens. The coast has lovely sandy beaches. During the summer season the beaches are packed with holidaymakers. Out of season the area offers quieter surroundings. The Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve is a great place to visit for walks around the reserve. Bird hides are dotted around for you to spot the wild life. Parking is easy with a motorhome. The visitor centre sells refreshments including meals. Stamford is in the south west of the county and Burghley House is near by. Burghley is famous for its Horse Trials. The Elizabethan mansion is open to the public. To the north of the county nr North Somercotes seals can be seen on the beaches in November. They come ashore to give birth.
